Our Family Focused Approach
1. At Home Consultation
We meet with the homeowner and see their existing space. We listen to the homeowner’s wants and needs, even if it is a broad stroke idea at this point. From this we compile preliminary budgetary numbers and present them to the homeowner for review.
2. Design & Specifications
Once preliminary budgetary numbers are agreed upon, we move forward with the design stage by taking a retainer fee to start building your design with initial construction plans and 3D renderings. Some homeowners may already have a designer or architect they are using and we would be happy to work with them or set you up with one from our network. We will start building your project team by engaging subcontractors and vendors for firm pricing on selections based on the initial design. Stage two ends with us sending you an initial contract for review that includes a defined scope of work, production plans and the project cost estimate.
3. Remodeling Contract & Pre-Production
After a contract is signed, you are placed on our production calendar. You will be assigned a dedicated Project Manager and given a schedule with start date, major milestones and expected completion date. We would apply for all permits necessary and make any adjustments to the production plan. During this phase, it is common for us to make periodic site visits and communicate our plan for being inside your home during the project.
4. Production
The wait is over and you will start to see your dream come to life. We will be onsite and managing the day to day of every aspect of your project. You will be given access to our online portal with schedule, financial and other relevant project information. We will continue to update you on any scheduling changes and work with you on any Change Order requests.
5. Warranty & Maintenance
Once the project is complete and the final walkthrough has been approved, Hansen Hometech will continue to be available for all warranty requests. We honor all Minnesota Statues regarding warranty issues and will complete a 1 year check in to make sure you are still completely satisfied with your project.
